Lucero Arizaga Jimenez
Lucero Arizaga Jimenez is a junior at Grand Valley State University
studying Legal Studies with a minor in Human Rights. Lucero is a
member of the Frederik Meijer Honors College and a first-year Cook
Leadership Fellow Candidate.
As a first-generation student,
Lucero is passionate about creating a space for students to feel
welcomed on campus. At Grand Valley, she works as a front desk
attendant at the Office of Multicultural Affairs and is the founder
and current President of Monarcas- Ballet Folklorico. As president,
she has created a space that welcomes people to appreciate and learn
traditional Mexican Folkloric dances. She is also involved in the
Latino Student Union and Laker Familia. In her free time, Lucero
enjoys reading, baking, crocheting, playing tennis, spending time with
friends and family, and attending concerts. Lucero looks forward to
being a part of the CLA this year and cultivating her leadership
skills while forming connections with her peers.
