Lexie Medford
Lexie Medford is a senior at GV studying psychology and sociology.
They plan to attend a sociology PhD program after undergrad to pursue
becoming a sociology professor engaged in research. They are in the
Honors College and Psi Chi, and work as a research assistant for their
professor and peer educator for the University Counseling Center.
Inclusion, mental health, community wellbeing, and representation are
topics of passion for Lexie, both personally and academically.
Sociology's empathetic and evolving approach to bettering society
excites them, in hope that they can contribute to a more positive
future for historically disadvantaged groups. Outside of school and
work, Lexie enjoys participating in canine sports with their chocolate
lab, Sequoia. They also deeply value the National Park System, having
explored 57 of the 63 parks in the U.S. (with a goal of eventually
visiting them all).
