Aseel Ayesh
Aseel Ayesh, a 2024 graduate in Accounting and Finance from Grand
Valley State University, has distinguished herself with an exceptional
academic career. Over the course of just 3.5 years, she will have
completed two bachelor's degrees and a Master of Science in
Accounting, with her master's graduation set for December of 2024.
Aseel is currently focusing on earning her CPA license. Her commitment
to the field extends beyond the classroomover the past two tax
seasons, Aseel volunteered at a VITA site, working with the Seidman
College of Business, United Way, and the IRS to prepare and review
income tax returns for underserved community members. An eleven-month
internship with Corewell Health's tax department further demonstrated
her practical skills and sparked her interest in the nonprofit
healthcare sector, prompting her to consider pursuing a Master of
Healthcare Administration. Throughout her undergraduate years, Aseel
earned numerous recognitions for her academic and leadership
accomplishments, including the prestigious 2024 Glenn A. Niemeyer
Award, the 2024 Kenneth R. Vanderbush Award, and the 2024 Honors
College Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement. With a strong
focus on giving back, she aims to make a positive impact as she
explores various career paths and continues her personal and
professional growth.
