Lisbett Rios
Lisbett Rios is pursuing both a Bachelor of Business Administration
in Accounting and Finance and a Master of Science in Accounting
through the Frederik Meijer Honors College at Grand Valley State
University. She is passionate about ethical leadership, financial
literacy, and empowering others through mentorship and education. As a
member of the Peter C. Cook Leadership Academy and a McNair Scholar,
Lisbett seeks to bridge the gap between financial systems and
community impact. Her professional experience includes internships in
tax and accounting services at Helmholdt+Company LLP and Timeless
Outdoors, as well as administrative work at National Vision Inc.
Dedicated to academic excellence, she has received numerous
scholarships and awards, including the Accounting Alumni Award and
Seidman Mentorship Program Mentor of the Year. In 2026, she will study
abroad at John Cabot University in Rome, Italy, to expand her global
perspective and understanding of international business practices.
Outside of her studies, Lisbett is involved with organizations such as
Women in Business, the Seidman Investment Portfolio Organization, and
Honors Familia. Fluent in English and Spanish, she values
cross-cultural collaboration and inclusive leadership. Lisbett aspires
to pursue a career in accounting and finance grounded in ethical
business practices and community engagement.
