Tucker McLane
Tucker is in his master’s practicum and project with the Plainfield
Fire Department, which he aims to complete by May 2026. During the
same period, he will also be attending the Fire Academy. In addition
to his academic pursuits, he is actively involved in various
extracurricular activities. He volunteers as a coach for GVSU’s Track
and Field team, specifically the Jumps Squad under Steve Jones.
He also serves as a Peer Mentor for the Asian Student Achievement
Program (ASAP) under Assistant Director Anna Miller. He is also a
member of the Asian Student Union (ASU). On top of his academic and
extracurricular commitments, he works two jobs. His first job is
on-campus as a Supervisor for the Kelly Family Sports Center (KTB),
and his second job is at the Jenison Aldi.
