Emma Jones
Emma is entering their third year as a graduate student at GVSU in
the College of Health Professions Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
They are currently active in leadership roles as a founding member of
PTs for IDEAs (Physical Therapists for Inclusion, Equity, Diversity,
and Accountability) under the GVSU DPT program, and volunteers
regularly in pro bono services through collaboration with Cherry
Health and Advent Physical Therapy as well as community groups like
the Grand Rapids Pride Center. Emma’s interests include advocating for
accessible and equitable healthcare that is focused on education and
prevention, and specialties in neurology and lifespan development. In
her free time, Emma enjoys visiting family in Illinois, practicing
yoga, baking gluten-free treats, reading, taking long walks, and
hanging out with their cats Artemis and Apollo.
