Darcy Luís
Darcy Luís is a second-year student at Grand Valley State University
pursuing a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Philosophy and
Political Science. On campus, they are a member of the Frederik Meijer
Honors College and Laker Familia. Darcy is dedicated to supporting
their fellow Lakers, as demonstrated through their roles in both the
Dean of Students Office and the Milton E. Ford LGBT Resource Center,
where they serve as a Front Desk Office Assistant. They also
co-facilitate the evening club Bi-Furious at the LGBT Resource Center.
In their free time, Darcy enjoys musical theatre (both as a performer
and as an audience member), writing poetry, and volunteering with
various nonprofit organizations. They are eager to grow through the
Cook Leadership Academy and hope to develop as a leader who uplifts
the communities they are a part of, as well as themselves. Darcy
values serenity, courage, and wisdom. Above all, they cherish the
beauty of diverse and equitable communities celebrating joy together.
