Rebecca Muir
Rebecca Muir, from Rushville, IN, is a junior at Grand Valley State
University, studying Biomedical Science and Spanish. Her career
ambitions are to become a Primary Care Physician with a Sports
Medicine specialty working with underserved populations. Rebecca has a
passion for traveling and learning new cultures which she was able to
indulge in last year while she studied in Chile and traveled South
America. On campus, she is a Resident Assistant at the Frederik Meijer
Honors college, an Honors mentor, and Honors ambassador. She is also a
part of Dr. Stephen Glass's Clinical Exercise Science research team
that was to present at the Michigan chapter of the American College of
Sports Medicine (ACSM). Since coming to Grand Valley, Rebecca has
taken an initiative to make a difference both on and off campus as she
volunteers for various organizations in the Grand Rapids area. In her
free time, Rebecca enjoys being outdoors or playing sports with her
friends, traveling, and learning new languages. She looks forward to
working closely with the Cook Leadership Academy to grow into a driven
leader, eager to use her skills to serve her community.
