Andrea Holt - Nursing
Andrea Holt is a Senior in the Frederik Meijer Honors College as well
as the Kirkhof College of Nursing at Grand Valley State University.
Born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI, the Forest Hills Northern High
School grad, wanted to remain close to home while continuing her
education. Andrea is an active member of the Student Nurses
Associations on the collegiate, state-wide, and national levels.
During her time at Grand Valley, Andrea has found a passion working
with the elderly and has done extensive research in the field of
gerontology. She collaborated with Dr. Jane Toot in the creation,
conduction, and revision the first of its kind Intergenerational
course in Higher Education offered not only at Grand Valley, but also
all across the United States of America. Andrea works at Metro Health
hospital as a patient care technician in surgery prep and recovery.
She is looking forward to continuing her clinical rotations in the
Kirkhof College of Nursing. She is thrilled to be a second year Cook
Leadership fellow candidate and continue to form and nurture
relationships and enhance leadership skills through the opportunities
provided by the Cook Leadership Academy and the Hauenstein Center.
