Tyler Kanczuzewski - President
Major: Masters of Business Administration (Emphasis: Sustainable Enterprise), Seidman College of Business
Hometown: South Bend, IN
Bio: Tyler completed his undergraduate studies at Holy Cross College (Notre Dame, IN) in 2012, and majored in Business. He currently works for Inovateus Solar, out of South Bend, IN and has been in a leadership position for 6 years. Tyler is thrilled to have the opportunity to represent the GSA as president. His life mission is to help people succeed and promote sustainability. Tyler enjoys connecting with people, and leading them outside of their comfort zone because that is when great things happen. Tyler has a strong desire to make a positive impact on GSA and looks forward to seeing things grow.
Dan Myers- Vice President
Major: Masters of Science in Biology (Emphasis: Aquatic Sciences)
Hometown: Charlevoix, MI
Thesis Research: Investigating the origin of troublesome sand in an urban stream using lasers
Bio: Dan is in the M.S. Biology program with Graduate Assistantship at GVSU’s Annis Water Resources Institute. He came to GVSU after an exciting career at the Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council in Petoskey, where he organized community events and used water quality data to protect lakes and streams. Dan has a B.S. Fisheries and Wildlife Management and Certificate of Watershed Management from Michigan State University. He enjoys running, reading, and watching new movies at the cinema with friends. Dan is eager to help graduate students develop bright futures and make the most of their experience at Grand Valley.
Ty Currie - Finance Officer
Major: Masters of Science in Accounting, Seidman College of Business
Hometown(s): Grand Blanc, MI
Bio: Ty completed his undergraduate degree right here at GVSU in Biomedical Sciences with a Minor in Chemistry. He currently works as a Lab Analyst at Fairlife LLC while pursuing his Masters in Accounting. During his undergrad years he was an active member of PALS Student Mentoring, Student Senate, and the Kappa Sigma fraternity. Ty likes to spend his spare time outdoors hunting, fishing, and mountain biking. He is excited to work with the budgeting and finance portion of GSA to give graduate students the best experience possible at Grand Valley.
Emily Agnello - Administration Officer
Program: Masters of Education, College Student Affairs Leadership
Hometown: Palm Beach, FL
Bio: Emily completed her undergraduate degree at The Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL double majoring in Family and Child Sciences and Psychology. After graduating FSU, Emily served as a Literacy AmeriCorps Member for the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County where she specifically served as a graduation coach at a local high school. Now in GVSU's CSAL program, Emily is the Graduate Assistant in the GVSU Admissions Office. Though Emily misses the FL sunshine, she has found a new love for all 4 seasons, hiking, and everything outdoors.
Kelsey Stevenson - Communications Officer
Program: Masters of Science in Communications
Hometown: Bridgman, MI
Bio: Kelsey completed her undergraduate degree at GVSU in Communications with a minor in Advertising and Public Relations and then continued on to the Masters of Science in Communications graduate program. Kelsey is the Graduate Resources and Marketing Graduate Assistant in The Graduate School at Grand Valley as well as a Communications Assistant at the GVSU Office of Sustainability Practices. She enjoys cooking, exercising, and spending time with her dog, Wrigley. Kelsey is excited to use her wide range of communication skills and experiences to reach out to all graduate students in an exciting and effective way.
