Health Informatics and Bioinformatics Students Win MGRS Awards

Dr. Tusch accompanied four students to the 10th Annual Midwest Graduate Research Symposium (MGRS) 2019 at the University of Toledo where they presented three posters about their current research. Two of the posters won an award:

  1. “An Efficient Method for Indexing Temporal Gene Expression Datasets” presented by HIB students Shawn Oliai and Casimir Tokarski won the outstanding presentation award,
  2. “A Critical Success Factor Model to Assess Quality Initiatives in Healthcare” presented by CIS student Jidnyasa Mantri (research together with Greg Schymik) won 3rd place in the poster category.
