Description
The Three-Minute Thesis Event will be held at 3:30 pm at the Richard M. DeVos Center in Loosemore Auditorium (401 Fulton St. W. Grand Rapids, MI 49504).
The Three-Minute Thesis Competition is a fun and challenging way for graduate students to present a thesis, project, or independent research to an audience and judges for a chance to win cash prizes. Each contestant will have one minute to give a presentation explaining their research using only one slide. The first-place winner of 3MT receives $500 as well as full funding to represent GVSU at the Midwest Association of Graduate Schools (MAGS) 3MT competition. The second-place winner wins a $250 cash prize and the third-place winner receives $100. The “People’s Choice” winner receives a GVSU “swag bag”.
This is an entertaining event with the opportunity to learn about multiple research areas. Attendance is highly encouraged to support graduate students and learn about their passions. We hope to see you there!
