Description
The focus of this professional learning opportunity is designed to support your mental, physical, and emotional selves. Using science, we will explore our body’s stress response and learn practical tips, tricks and tweaks to mitigate the effects of stress in the body--for your students, yes, but more importantly, for YOU.
Attendees will have the option to participate in some light stretching and breathing techniques. Participation in any light movement is not required! All are welcome to wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat.
Dr. Tamara Coleman has taught anatomy and physiology for much of her 34 year career. Her research on stress and the nervous system became a priority before COVID while working with stressed college students.
Please share this registration with any educators, partners, building administrators, and folks interested in place-based education!
**4:00 - 4:30pm is optional socializing or time to walk through the Ecosystem Preserve. Content will begin at 4:30pm.
