  • Discover different ways to conduct a community scan
  • Explore the Calvin University Ecosystem Preserve and Native Gardens with their team in a guided walk/community scan
  • Visit an active project worksite on Calvin's campus managed by the Plaster Creek Stewards that aims to address stormwater runoff from the parking lot that impacts the surrounding natural space
  • Draw connections from native plants to watershed impacts
  • Discuss best practices of natural space exploration with students, addressing potential barriers, and setting educators up for effective outdoor learning
