GVSU Medical Dosimetry Student Accepts Position at Mayo Clinic

Patrick Farris, a 2016 graduate from Grand Valley State University’s MS of Medical Dosimetry program, has recently accepted a position as a Medical Dosimetrist at the Mayo Clinic. He began his schooling pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health Sciences and Radiation Therapy. During his time at Grand Valley, he took courses in radiation physics, statistics, epidemiology, and many more that he says helped him “excel in the job force.” By the end of his Medical Dosimetry program at GVSU he was developing complex treatment plans to help people with cancer. Now he is a part of an intricate team at the Mayo Clinic that creates a vast array of treatment plans and contributes to advancing the healthcare profession as a whole. Congratulations to Patrick on this exciting new job opportunity.
