Grand Valley State University's Master of Science (M.S.) in Biostatistics, part of Grand Rapids' only Professional Science Master's degree program, is a member of the National Professional Science Master's Association (NPSMA). Our biostatisticians are prepared for leadership, apply and develop statistical techniques in the biological and health sciences industries, and benefit from valuable internship experiences with graduate placement. Biostatistics is an in demand and growing field. According to 2019 EMSI data, job opportunities are expected to grow 19% in West Michigan and 10% in the U.S. by 2024. The median annual wage for biostaticians is $76,024 in West Michigan and $83,928 in the U.S. GVSU graduates often hold the following job titles:

The Biostatistics (M.S.) P.S.M. application deadlines are June 1 for the Fall semester and November 1 for the Winter semester. The $30 application fee is waived if you’ve already applied to Grand Valley.
