The Daniel and Pamella DeVos Center for Interprofessional Health was dedicated on Wednesday, November 3, thanks to more than 700 donors who supported the project. This center will enhance collaboration and interaction between students in our 20+ health science programs and allow for learning on state-of-the-industry simulation and technology.

Project Highlights
- The Daniel and Pamella DeVos Center for Interprofessional Health is the second building in Grand Valley’s Health Campus expansion, which began in 2018 with the opening of Raleigh J. Finkelstein Hall.
- State-of-the-art spaces include an electronic 3D modeling and imaging of the body and its organs.
- Its 17 classrooms and 12 interactive laboratories are designed for maximum flexibility and are equipped to create interprofessional team environments and encourage collaboration.
- Grand Valley has one of the largest interprofessional, comprehensive, state-of-the-art simulation centers in Michigan.
- The simulation center conducted more than 2,000 events with more than 6,000 students in the 2020-21 academic year.
- Nearly 600 hours of video were recorded for students and faculty to review, critique, and debrief in their simulated learning experience. The simulation center use has doubled in the past decade.
- Grand Valley is the top provider of health science professionals in West Michigan and is a primary talent pipeline for the state.
- 92% of GVSU health alumni stay in Michigan and 62% stay in West Michigan.
- 27% of bachelor’s degree students in GVSU health majors are first-generation college students.
- Grand Valley has the most comprehensive selection of health science programs in the state with 20+ programs and growing.
