Description

This multi-day workshop is designed to support faculty members preparing for a Winter 2019 personnel review: pre-tenure, tenure and/or promotion.  Working closely with faculty mentors and peers, participants will compose their Personal/Reflective statement and, as time permits, prepare supporting materials for the portfolio in accordance with their college and unit personnel policies.

The workshop begins with a 2-day intensive experience and spreads over multiple weeks, incorporating group and individual meetings as well as peer feedback.  Participants receive support and individualized feedback from their assigned faculty mentor throughout the workshop.

Participants are expected to:

  1. have the ability to attend all workshop group meetings
  2. meet one-on-one with their assigned mentor (at a mutually convenient scheduled time between 10/15—10/31);
  3. set aside at least 10—15 hours in their schedules during the three-week period for writing an compiling portfolio materials, as drafts of work will be shared and discussed with peers.
