Description

Reading Time Across Words and Numbers: An Exhibition of Visualization Projects by Heather Corcoran

We are awash in data. It is a social condition of our time. This exhibition is a response to that condition. Can data slow down, become more meditative, and be bent toward poetry? Reading Time Across Words and Numbers is a body of work by designer, writer, and educator Heather Corcoran. Some projects in the exhibition are representations of time-based data lifted from sea and sky. Others are based in literature, integrating numerical data. The exhibit is on view in the Exhibition Space of the Mary Idema Pew Library October 1-29, 2017.

Heather Corcoran will visit campus Wednesday, October 11 to speak about her work. All are invited to the guest lecture, which will take place from 6pm-7pm in the Multipurpose Room of the Mary Idema Pew Library.
