Medical Assistant

Joyce is a certified medical assistant who works with providers, nurses, administrative support staff and clinical students from variety of healthcare disciplines.  Joyce joined the GVSU Family Health Center in January, 2021. Prior to that, she spent 3 years at the Centre for Neuro Skills for Traumatic Brain Injury and Rehabilitation as a certified medical assistant in Irving, Texas.

Joyce graduated from Kenya College of Commercial Management with a diploma in front office operations and administrations and she got her certification of medical assistant from the university of Texas at Arlington Enterprise Development.  Joyce is linguistic and can speak Deutsch, among other languages.

In her spare time, Joyce enjoys jogging, running in marathons around town and reading history books.  She believes that challenging roles make work more interesting, widens the mind and aids in the quality of service rendered.  Joyce is motivated by providing quality services, and meeting the needs of patients, providers and the community at large.
