Description
Schwarzman Scholars is a fully-funded, one-year master’s degree and leadership program at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. At the heart of the program are world-renowned advisers, a rigorous and innovative study of global affairs, and hands-on exploration of Chinese culture and commerce.
The program is open to candidates aged 18 to 28, regardless of nationality, who are proficient in English and have an undergraduate degree or its equivalent. Mandarin skills are not required for admission. Whether in politics, business, sciences, or the arts — successful applicants are young people who have already demonstrated both the ability to lead in their chosen fields and a commitment to building understanding among people with differing perspectives.
Awards are made to 100–200 applicants per year, worldwide. Every year, a new class is selected to represent the world’s next generation of leaders — high-caliber individuals with open minds and limitless potential who will serve to deepen understanding between China and the rest of the world.
Prospective Scholars are expected to demonstrate academic excellence, exceptional results in their field and outstanding leadership qualities. Schwarzman Scholars embrace the opportunity to understand other cultures, perspectives and positions.
