Come Sail Away with the Laker Club Sailing team on their 3rd Annual Golf Outing. Join the team, alumni, and supporters on the golf course. Ticket includes greens fees, carts for all, Laker Sailing t-shirt, and lunch!

Join us in learning how Grand Valley State University is training the next generation of healthcare practitioners as we tour two of Grand Valley’s health sciences areas: Raleigh J. Finkelstein Hall and the Simulation Center in the Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences.

GVSU is the leading provider of health sciences professionals for West Michigan and this hands-on tour will give you an inside perspective into how we are educating and training our students so they will be highly recruited for healthcare jobs.

There will be a light breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and the tours of these two spaces to follow at 9 a.m. Please note that there is walking between buildings as a part of this tour.

Come experience the wonders of the Barbara Kindschi Greenhouse located at 2241 on the second floor of Kindschi Hall. The first 30 visitors will receive a free plant!

For the 23rd year, Grand Valley Renaissance Festival is hosting Michigan's only student-run Renaissance Festival! Admission is free, so join us for two days of fun, rain or shine, featuring merchants from many markets and extravagant entertainers.

Learn to Row

Come row away on the Grand River with the GVSU Rowing Team. Family members will have the opportunity to engage in brief “Learn to Row” sessions on the water. Refreshments will be served in the boathouse, where those attending will be able to mingle and investigate the oars, ergs, boats, and our team tent. Both varsity and novice rowers will be more than willing to help educate visitors on various aspects of the sport, and answer any questions.

Join us for a Grand Valley Picnic inside the Fieldhouse Arena from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 23. This event will feature an opportunity to enjoy time with your student, meet other Grand Valley families, and get in the Laker spirit before going to the football game, kickoff at 7 p.m.

President Haas, Louie the Laker, the GV cheerleaders, and the Laker Marching Band will all make special appearances!

Tickets for adults and students are $13. Children under 3 are free.
