Underdogs and Upsets: How Setting a Goal to "Win" Increases Your Chances of Losing
If you've ever been a part of a successful team (or individual sport) many times one of the early-season goals is to win - win a championship, win a match, win the big game. What if I told you that setting these types of goals can actually increase your chances of losing. In this presentation, Dr. Rick Albrecht from the Movement Science Department discusses the actual phenomenon and how goal setting can impact the very outcome you're targeting in positive and negative ways. The discussion will be focused on goal setting for life with examples from sports.
FREE FOOD TOO!
The presentation will be at the Movement Science House in the South D Living Center Lobby - see the attached map for directions.
