Upon completion of this program, participants will learn about the impact of HIV/AIDS on modern society understand their leadership role and how best to use it within their community, work or personal life as it pertains to prevention, awareness building and HIV transmission.
Community Engagement/Service Learning
Describe how one of Objective 2's goals fit your program
Upon completion of this presentation, participants will have the opportunity to analyze new information regarding tools and strategies used to talk with others about HIV and sexually transmitted disease.
LIB 201 Request Goals (must fit with one or more of the following categories)
Experiences and intersectional identities of diverse communities, How structures and systems affect diverse populations
Describe how one of Objective 3's goals fit your program
Participants will have an opportunity to listen to dialog asking questions, regarding new developments in HIV/AIDS treatment in the United States. With some examination of how the treatment is experienced by various groups (POC, LGBT, persons with different ability etc).
