About the Program:
Ourense, Spain - Experience the multilingual schools in the beautiful Galicia region, comparing the current education systems in the U.S. and Spain and learning the foundations of both systems. Schools in this region are becoming more and more multicultural, and in response, education has become trilingual: the subjects are taught in Galego (Galician), Spanish and English. Field trips and home stays with local families will further allow students to be immersed in Spanish culture.

Students will register for a total of 6 credits:
EDF 315: Diverse Perspectives on Education (3 credits) AND
Fullls a requirement for admission in the College of Education
Fulfills General Education US Diversity requirement
EDF 380: Cultural Exploration in Spain (3 credits)
Fulfills General Education Global Perspectives requirement
Fulfills (1) General Education Issues course requirement. Reflection required
Language of instruction: English
