Applying Effective Mentoring Principles to Enhance Productivity and Your Professional Relationships:
As you transition from being a graduate student to a professional you will undoubtedly have opportunities to supervise and mentor other full-time employees or student workers or volunteers--perhaps you've already had such opportunities. With the role of being a "mentor" comes the responsibilities of using effective mentoring principles to sustain effective and productive professional relationships. During this interactive workshop, participants will learn strategies for effective mentoring, have the opportunity practice these strategies during "role plays" as mentors, and learn how to use these practices to manage their professional relationships as a mentee. Presenter: Henry (Rique) Campa, III, Ph.D., Associate Dean, The Graduate School and Professor of Wildlife Ecology, Michigan State University.
This workshop is free to all current graduate students. Register online at www.gvsu.edu/paces/register
