When Nate Staniforth performs at a college or university, it’s not just another show, it’s a campus invasion. At each engagement, Nate arrives early with a video camera and spends the day filming close up street magic for students on campus. These informal group performances allow students to see impossible magic up close and in person, and the resulting buzz creates an interest and intrique about the stage show that night. That evening, Nate’s performance combines stunning magic with original music, audience interaction, and a multimedia presentation that makes Nate’s appearances absolutely unique. Gone are the tables, boxes, scarves, top hats and bad jokes that come to mind when one hears the word “magician.” In his shows, Nate simply does magic. Simply. Openly. And it’s amazing. Before the show, Nate edits the highlights of the afternoon street magic footage into a short video, and one of the highlights of the evening performance is the projection of this video onto a large screen during the show, which allows audience members to see themselves, their friends and their classmates be astonished by Nate’s close up mysteries.
Nate will also be performing 'Street Magic' from 5:30pm-6:15pm at a variety of locations around campus, so keep your eyes peeled!
