JUST ANOTHER ASSAULT KEYNOTE SPEAKER (RSVP for Non-Greek Life Students)
Wednesday, October 20, 2021
7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
JUST ANOTHER ASSAULT.
Bonny is a survivor of sexual assault. An assault by her close college friend. It took her more than seven years to realize it.
In her powerful program, Just Another Assault, Bonny takes an in-depth look at issues surrounding sexual violence, social understanding of the topic, consent, and survivor support and intervention. She shares her experience to help others find the truth in their own.
1-in-4 college students will be survivors of sexual assault. It is not only an issue for the victim or the campus community; this is an issue for us all. Bonny delivers a thought-provoking and engaging program which allows the space for audiences to discuss the uncomfortable and equip audience members with realistic intervention strategies. And, for victims to know they are not just another assault.
(Note: This program can be tailored to all-male audiences, as well.)
Outcomes: Audiences will explore their blind spots on the topic of sexual violence through national data and anecdotal information; Understand and define consent and consent when alcohol is present; Develop skills/resources to respond to a survivor of sexual violence; Understand the sexual violence spectrum and how they can take part in ending sexual violence through identifying 2-3 tangible intervention strategies.
First 50 RSVPs will be entered into a swag pack giveaway!!!
