Information Literacy is Not a Drag! LIB 100 / 201 APPROVED!
Date and TimeWednesday, November 8, 2017
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
- Mary Idema Pew Library » Exhibition Space
Many students and faculty struggle to access critical information about LGBTQ+ identities because of a disconnect between the language used to create scholarship and the language used to archive scholarship. This workshop will discuss current research on the topic of naming information and engage in a hands-on "cataloguing" activity aimed at balancing democracy of classification with the reality of existing library systems.
