Description

Government, legal, and research experts will address water quality and safety in our groundwater, the Great Lakes and area rivers.  Speakers will discuss the impact contamination from chemicals such as PFAS has on human health as well as  measures being taken to address infrastructure issues.

(Individual students and group classes are encouraged to attend!  Scheduling of class groups should be directed to the contact person below.  Individual students may use the normal registration process on our website.)

The Health Forum of West Michigan is hosted by the Office of the Vice Provost for Health and Midwest Interprofessional Practice, Education and Research Center at Grand Valley State University and is scheduled on the first Friday of each month during the academic year.  The forums are coordinated under the collaborative leadership of our community partners with sponsorship provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.

The purpose of the Health Forum is to offer a venue for open discussion on health topics pertinent to the well-being of the community.

Parking for the event is available in the Seward Parking Ramp/Lot with entrances located on either Fulton Street or Lake Michigan Drive/Pearl Street.
