Fundamentals of Importing & Exporting Textiles & Apparel

Importing and exporting textiles and apparel can be a rewarding, yet frustrating, endeavor. Trade in textiles and apparel has long been perceived as complicated, sensitive and high risk due to high duty rates in most countries, trade conflicts and a myriad of special trade rules managed differently across the globe. Complicating the process are complex terminology used for duty determination and classification purposes and multi-country manufacturing supply chains confusing country of origin determination.
