As part of GRCC and GVSU's 2019 Tournées French Film Festival, the French film "Return of the Hero" / "Le retour du héros" will be screened at GVSU's Loosemore Auditorium on the Pew Campus at 7:30 p.m. Saturday November 16th. Loosemore Auditorium is located on the Pew Campus, near the international flags visible from Fulton Street. Parking is free in the adjacent DeVos Lot, or in the Seward Lot across the street.
Tournées films are in French with subtitles in English and free and open to the general public. Bring a friend! Venez nombreux!
"Return of the Hero" is a French comedy starring Jean Dujardin (The Artist) and Mélanie Laurent (The Beat that My Heart Skipped). It is not rated. Synopsis: It's 1809. Captain Neuville heads off to war, leaving his fiancée behind. But all goes well when he finally returns.... Discussion in English and French before and after the film.
Note that today's film is part of a double-feature: another French film will be screened at 4:30 today as well in the same venue.
