This is the third in a series of events intended to give GVSU students an opportunity to spend a day exploring some of the exciting areas beyond our campus. They are designed with both structured and unstructured exploration and include spending time in both natural & urban settings.
Participants on the Muskegon trip will have an opportunity to hike through a classic Michigan dune system at North Ottawa Dunes, swim in Lake Michigan, relax on the beach, & explore downtown Muskegon. The hike through North Ottawa Dunes is considered mild (1-3 miles) with dune, and stair climbs. Beyond the hike, your time in Muskegon will be yours to spend as you choose. Instructions: The van will leave from the Fieldhouse circle drive (across from Mackinac hall. Participants should plan to arrive by 9:45am.
Packing List: Participants should plan to carry any belongings they may need as access to the van may not always be readily available. The following items are recommended:
small backpack, water bottle, hat/ sunglasses, swimsuit/ beach towel, comfortable shoes, sunblock, snacks, spending money.
Meals: Any food/ meals will be on your own.
**Outdoor Adventures has a no alcohol policy for trips.
