About the Program
The Employer Spotlight program will bring an invited employer to campus to be featured in a series of 5-minute classroom presentations (based on interested areas of study and recruitment needs) throughout the day and offer a tabling opportunity for networking in a visible campus location between classroom presentations. Additionally, the Career Center will sponsor a networking lunch and invite faculty and staff from applicable programs to lunch and learn more about the organization, culture, and job/internship opportunities offered.
Through this program, students are provided the opportunity to engage with a featured employer and learn more about the internship/career opportunities available. It also serves to better educate and prepare undergraduate and graduate students throughout their academic career.
- Freshmen learn about future career paths and corresponding majors.
- Sophomores are exposed to the importance and process of networking.
- Juniors explore internship opportunities.
- Seniors and Graduates discuss potential career paths.
Monday, February 17 - MI Department of Health & Human Services
MDHHS is a government agency that works to strengthen families and protect vulnerable children and adult populations. DHHS works with individuals and families to assist them in becoming self-sufficient.
MDHHS representatives will be in the Au Sable Hall Atrium and DeVos C Lobby to talk to students about Services Specialist (Child Protective Services/Foster Care) and student support roles.
Tuesday, February 18 - Charles River
Charles River provides essential products and services to help pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, government agencies and leading academic institutions around the globe accelerate their research and drug development efforts.
Charles River representatives will be in the Henry Hall Atrium to talk to students about laboratory and research roles.
