DESIGN THINKING & YOU WITH ELA BEN-UR
Date and TimeTuesday, November 27, 2018
7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
- Mary Idema Pew Library » Multipurpose Room
Wondering what design thinking is? Or who else is using it around here? Or what else you could use it for? Or how you're already using it, whether by that name or not?
In this presentation, you’ll see an introduction to design thinking; learn how to apply it to an individual, university, or community challenge of your choice; practice coaching and facilitating others through their challenge; and connect design thinking to your own creative process. We’ll use a simple yet powerful visual tool distilled from design thinking and other practices by Ela Ben-Ur.
This event is open to all GVSU students, faculty, and staff and community members. No registration necessary.
This event is part of the Design Thinking Speaker Series. In over 20 years in Design Thinking at MIT, IDEO (the design firm that helped articulate design thinking), and Olin College, Ela Ben-Ur has worked to make it accessible as a shared language for creativity and experimentation across disciplines and contexts.
Ela will be on campus November 27th and 28th to give a few presentations/workshops on the Innovators’ Compass– a framework she has developed to help people creatively address challenges big and small.
