Deaf World. LIB 100 / 201 APPROVED!
Date and TimeTuesday, November 14, 2017
5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
- Kirkhof Center » RM 2250 Grand River Room
Many people take for granted the ability to navigate their daily life with minimal to no communication challenges. Members of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities often have a different experience. Deaf World attempts to offer hearing participants a chance to experience these challenges.
This is an interactive event where participants will visit several stations, all led by members of the local Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities. Each station represents a daily living activity, and participants will perform a task at each station without the use of their voice. Sign language sheets will be available and GVSU's American Sign Language Interpreting students will assist as needed.
