Common Ground: Climate Change Panel - LIB 100 APPROVED!
Date and TimeTuesday, February 18, 2020
6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
- DeVos Center » 122E - Loosemore Auditorium
There is no question that the Earth’s climate is changing. The question is: to what degree do human beings have an impact on the effects of climate change, and what can we do about it? Which is better equipped to handle the consequence of our own inaction, the government or the free market? Given the complexity of the past and the fractured nature of the present, no easy solutions exist for the problem of climate change.
On an issue of such enduring importance, progressives and conservatives alike must recognize the common ground that we all share: a firm belief in the value of teaching and learning together. Join the Hauenstein Center and Koeze Business Ethics Initiative as we present a new panel format of leading experts to discuss this important topic. Three individuals will argue on behalf of the government intervention and the Green New Deal, while three will argue for market-based solutions to our everchanging climate.
