Musicologist James Deaville: "Wanting the Real Thing: Liszt's Transcriptions and the Issue of Authenticity." In a first for Arts at Noon, award-winning musicologist James Deaville presents a lecture on the music of Franz Liszt. Dr. Deaville is associate professor and supervisor of graduate studies, School for Studies in Art and Culture: Music at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He has been a lecturer at the Smithsonian Institute and serves on the advisory board for the Grove Dictionary of American Music.
