Description
Robert Desnos was a Surrealist poet remembered in France today as a poète résistant, a gifted writer arrested by the Nazis for his active participation in the French Resistance. While living in occupied Paris, he composed a book of poems for children, Chantfleurs et Chantfables, as a remarkable gesture of hope for the future. Apple Blossom and Nightingale represents a selection of these poems translated into English with illustrations by Grand Valley professor Kirsten Strom.
