The African Diaspora Conversation Series is a lunch hour lecture series hosted by the African and African American Studies program in Area Studies.  The goal is to create an engaging forum for faculty members, as well as students.

The theme for our conversations for Fall and Winter 2013/14 is "What Made the Difference?  Discussions of The Other Wes Moore: One Name, Two Fates/Wes Moore”

Faculty, staff and students will lead café-style conversations about The Other Wes Moore.  All have read the text and will lead the conversation from their respective disciplines and perspectives.  The list of discussion facilitators is as follows:

October 17, 2013:  Dwight Hamilton (Inclusion and Equity)

November 21, 2013:  Bobby Springer (Office of Multicultural Affairs)

January 30, 2014:  Dr. Donald Mitchell (Education)

February 11, 2014: Dr. Rachel Peterson (Liberal Studies)
