ESL Minor honored with several awards
On Friday, January 27, ESL minor Yasmin Alemayehu was presented with the Student Laker of the Year award at the 2023 Presidents' Ball. The award recognizes a student who has made outstanding contributions to the GVSU community by supporting the University's mission, vision, and values. Recipients of this award are individuals who have demonstrated their commitment to others and the betterment of the university community. Read more about the event in the GVNext story.
Alemayehu also received the Kenneth R. Venderbush Student Leadership Award, which is presented to a senior who has demonstrated an exceptional blend of academic achievement and leadership efficacy while making significant contributions to the campus community.
