PBS LearningMedia

Grand Valley State University (GVSU) is the first in the nation to partner with PBS LearningMedia. This partnership allows GVSU student teachers free unlimited access to educational videos and resources on the PBS LearningMedia website. Teachers can use PBS LearningMedia to assign class projects, have students create interactive digital storyboards, download and share lessons and videos, and identify teaching resources based on content standards. Due to the partnership with GVSU, West Michigan is in the top 5 users of PBS LearningMedia nationwide.

Educators can access PBS LearningMedia at https://wgvu.pbslearningmedia.org/.

Michigan Environmental Education Curriculum Support (MEECS)

GVSU has partnered with the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) to make curriculum from the Michigan Environmental Education Curriculum Support (MEECS) available to educators electronically. Demonstration video vignettes of Michigan teachers implementing MEECS in their classrooms are being created to provide real examples of the lessons in action. Videos and associated MEECS lessons and materials are accessible to teachers nationwide through PBS LearningMedia.
