The Pipeline Scholarship Program, launched in 2020 through a partnership between the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Battle Creek Public Schools, and Grand Valley State University, provided full scholarships to graduates of Battle Creek Central High School who pursued a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Professions, Teacher Education, or STEM fields. The program also encouraged recipients to engage in experiential learning and career opportunities in Battle Creek. What began with just six Pipeline Scholars in Cohort 1 grew to 60 scholars by 2023. The Pipeline Scholarship Program accepted its final cohort (Cohort 4) in 2023 and has since transitioned to supporting Bearcat Advantage students through the Battle Creek Scholars Program.
