1. Set Up an Initial Meeting with Your Mentor:

Connect with your assigned mentor teacher to discuss expectations, classroom responsibilities, and prepare for a successful internship experience
2. Accept Your Scholarship:
- Complete this form to formally accept your Battle Creek Student Teaching Internship Scholarship
3. Decide on Living Arrangements:
- Teacher Interns have the opportunity to apply their stipend toward subleasing a Bailey Park Apartment from GVSU, helping to alleviate the search for short-term housing in Battle Creek.
- Please note that the GVSU sublease does not allow pets; however, you can lease directly through Bailey Park (or other community) using your stipend. Be aware that pet addendums do include extra fees.

When applying for housing (whether at Bailey Park or any other community), inform the leasing office that you will be receiving a scholarship to help cover your housing expenses.

The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships will have a link on their website where you can request a Landlord Letter for this situation.
