Description

Principles, guidelines and methods for working together through a considerate leadership Model.

What does working with horses have to do with working with humans? Herd dynamics and the expressive, silent language of horses are a remarkable example of non-verbal communication and leadership-based collaboration.  Fred has learned the transformative change that takes place when the old-school paradigm of training horses built on domination and control, is abandoned for a philosophy of developing collaboration with willing partners through invitation, and non-violent, positively-visualized dialogue.  Learn how the ideals and methods in this powerful leadership model provide insight towards subtlety and softness, and contribute to health, well being and balance; in both horses and humans.

Fred Bueltmann, as known as, “The Beervangelist,” is an author and independent consultant on company culture, the ideals of the craft marketplace and the connected lifestyle.  He has more than two decades of experience as an executive in the beverage industry including service at New Holland Brewing Company and Bell’s Brewing Company.

Bueltmann is past president of the Michigan Brewers Guild and recipient of their prestigious Tom Burns Award, recognizing the pioneering spirit of the “Great Beer State.” A nationally recognized expert on pairing beer and food, Fred’s book, The Beervangelist’s Guide to the Galaxy was recognized as an Indie Book Award finalist.

Fred writes and speaks passionately on many topics, including, “The Community of Collaboration” at TedX Macatawa in 2015.  His second book,  A Rising Tide | Stories From the Michigan Brewers Guild  was released in 2019.  He continues to document cultural shifts of the craft renaissance in podcast form, towards his next book via This Craft Nation. He also pens the column, Farm Aid Connection for  Craft by Under My Host digital magazine.
