Overview of programming

All violence prevention programs are designed to center the voices and experiences of victim/survivors. Our programming aims to create spaces that are affirming and supportive for victim/survivors not only on our campus, but in our communities as well. Below are the programs we currently offer. Not sure what workshop you want to request? No problem! Fill out a request form and we will setup a meeting with you to figure out what content will best fit your needs. We ask that your workshop request be submitted 14 days prior to your program to ensure adequate staffing and time for content creation.

Gender-based Violence 101

During this workshop we will define what exactly we mean by gender-based violence, give an in depth overview of rape culture, and provide a space for participants to ask any and all questions that come to mind during these vulnerable conversations.

A Deep Dive into Healthy Relationships

Relationship workshops are typically only given in the context of romantic couples, but what about your relationships with family? Friends? YOURSELF? We often overlook how to be a good partner to ourselves, and during this workshop, participants will become clearer on their own boundaries and needs, build communication skills, and develop their own tools on how to navigate relationships.

Reclaiming Consent 

Consent education has often been framed as the missing piece to ending gender-based violence, but what if we told you it wasn’t? Join us for a discussion that will challenge us all to think outside of traditional consent education and examine how we use consent on the daily.

Run time: 60 minutes

Supporting Victims + Survivors 

Challenge yourself to reimagine a society that affirms victim/survivors and seeks healing and justice in all forms. During this workshop participants will learn tangible ways to support victim/survivors and reexamine what we think healing should look like.

Unpacking Violent Relationships

“Why don’t you just break up with them?” 

We hear this phrase all too often, and we know it is a question that overlooks the complexities of relationship violence. During this workshop, we will unpack the dynamics of relationship violence and debunk prevalent myths that harm victim/survivors.

Leading with Empathy

As mandatory reporters we have an obligation to fulfill, but how do we still provide support to students during this process? We will examine ways to be affirming to victim/survivors during and after a disclosure while still upholding your reporting expectations.
