October is Dating and Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In recognition, the GVSU Center for Women and Gender Equity, in collaboration with other campus departments and community organizations, hosts a number of events to raise awareness about this important issue.

The Girls of Color Summit is an initiative at GVSU that benefits girls of color, supporters and allies in the local community. Participants are invited to explore and discuss issues that impact the lived experiences of girls of color.

While the Covid-19 pandemic has mandated that we make alternative plans, the GOCS will look different as it will be a virtual event.

March 27th we will host a virtual Summit Circle...the circle will transform into the Summit in fall 2021! Don't miss out.

Mark your calendar for this years CWGE annual EqualiTEA . While this will not be an in person event, our time together will be centered around fabulous tea cups (our gift to you), flavorful tea, crumpets and conversation.

Last year we focused on the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, protecting women's right to vote.

This year the theme is It's Time...time for what, well that's for you to decide.  #equaliTEA2021  #itstime  #equiTEA
