October is Dating and Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In recognition, the GVSU Center for Women and Gender Equity, in collaboration with other campus departments and community organizations, hosts a number of events to raise awareness about this important issue.

The Girls of Color Summit is an initiative at GVSU that benefits girls of color in the local community. Participants are invited to explore and discuss issues that impact the experience of girls of color.

Our 3rd Annual Girls of Color Celebration will be held in 2021! More information will be released in Fall 2020. 

This past March 11th, the CWGE hosted our Annual EqualiTEA event to a packed Grand River Room at the Kirkhof Center!

The year 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, guaranteeing and protecting women's constitutional right to vote.  #equaliTEA2020  #makesomethinghappen #equiTEA

The GVSU Center for Women and Gender Equity annually collaborates with the West Michigan Environmental Action Council (WMEAC) to host a Women & Environment Symposium to explore the intersection between women's issues and environmental concerns.

The month of March is Women's History Month. Each year, the Center for Women and Gender Equity partners with the Department of Women & Gender Studies to offer dynamic events and programs.
