-- Kalamazoo Covenant Academy was featured as part of a community story series for the exceptional support it provides to help youth revive their education dreams.
-- The Detroit Prep community officially celebrated their "forever home" this month. The school has been serving students at its new location since the beginning of the school year, but this was the first opportunity that all supporters could join together and recognize an accomplishment that was years in the making and faced many hurdles.
-- Students from Crossroads Charter Academy were part of a story about teens stepping up to address EMT shortages in their community.
-- The Flint Kids Eat Fresh Food initiative kicked off its campaign at Flint Cultural Center Academy earlier this month. Students received booklets with $25 worth of gift certificates for the Flint Farmers Market. The initiative is backed by Pistons owner Tom Gores and the national Basketball Players Association, among other groups.
