2021 Summer Camps for K-12 Students

This summer GVSU is hosting a variety of remote camps for K-12 students. Two free, STEM-focused camps in particular still have spots available and a registration deadline quickly approaching.


Energizing Our World (EOW) Camp

When: June 21-25, 2021
Who: Students in grades 7-8
Cost: Free
Description : Energizing Our World (EOW) is an exploration designed to spark interest in renewable energy sources and careers. Students will perform hands-on experiences with a variety of renewable energy sources and will have the opportunity to engage in activities involving solar, wind, and hydro power created and facilitated by GVSU faculty, staff and students. sHaPe Camp

When: July 12-15, 2021
Who: Students in grades 7-8
Cost: Free
Description: sHaPe (Summer Health Activities and Professions Exploration) is a one-week day camp introduction to the health professions for students in grades 7-8.  Camp attendees participate in activities that provide hands-on exposure to a variety of health professions including physical therapy, medical lab science, sports medicine, and more. With the camp being held remotely, all students will receive an at-home kit that includes health profession items for activities to complete at home. The camp is hosted by GVSU's College of Health Professions and the Regional Math and Science Center. To learn more and register for sHaPe Camp, please visit gvsu.edu/shape.
