Good News from Our Schools (August 2021)

-- The Class of 2021 numbers are in! A total of 809 students graduated from our high schools this spring. Even more impressively, these students earned a reported $33,210,503 in college scholarships. Incredible work!
-- Black River Public School graduate Kasia Norman announced that she will swim collegiately for the University of Alabama.
-- Cornerstone Health & Technology High School graduate Amari Lewis was featured on the WDIV Brag Book segment for his academic accomplishments. Amari was the class salutorian and received acceptance letters from more than 40 colleges and universities.
-- Flint Cultural Center Academy partnered with
the Mark Ingram Foundation to host the 2021 Talent and Skill
Development Camp for Flint youth. Students had the opportunity to
experience what it's like to be an artist, barber, creative
writer/author, DJ, dancer, actor and banker.
-- Grand River Preparatory High School celebrated its first student to graduate through the school's early college program, which started in 2019. More than 100 students will participate in the program this fall.
